I hate how the problems in that tiny little, pissant stretch of desert influences world affairs so much. Much of the violence in the world, much of the animosity stems from this Israeli/Palestinian confilct.

I bet if that country fell into the ocean tommorrow, the world would be alot more peaceful. Not that, it wouldn't hurt alot of people.

Eh, the Ottoman Empire kept that whole region under control for hundreds of years. Too bad they're still not around. Picked the wrong side during World War I...

You don't know that to be true and, in fact,its patently not true. 2500 or so suicide bombers? I think not. I think 99.9 % of the Palestineans that died in this chart were innocent civilians.

The U.S. gives $15,139,178 per day to the Israeli government and military and $568,744 to Palestinian NGO's.

That is $568,744 too much in my opinion... Why the hell are we giving money to people who march down the street, burning our flags, and chanting "Death to America!"??? Why the hell are we giving money to people who cheered the deaths of those on 9/11...???

Palestinian schools and homes destroyed? Well yeah, maybe you shouldn't fire at Isreali soldiers from them, use them as stockpiles, etc. if you don't want them destroyed, huh?

I'm over any sympathy for the Palestinians... They've had numerous shots at soveriegnty, and have blown or rejected each one, while spitting in faces... To hell with them imho....

I know the overall opinion here is one of sympathy towards the Palestinians...but I just can't share it... They continually bring this crap on themselves....

Yo know this is not right. You are acting as if the Israelis are the innocent and blamesless party here and that is a lie. This whole stupid war was started by Areil Sharon when he made a speech on the Temple Mount way back in 2000 or so to incite the Palestineans into war. He wanted this to happen so her could exterminate the Palestineans as he tried to do back in the 80s.

How much of that money do you think is actually used to help the Palestinian people?

Arafat uses that money to sponsor Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other terrorist groups.

Israel themselves gave the PA money and weapons to stop the terrorist groups, and instead they use to HELP the terrorists.

I'm sure that if the money would actually be used to help the Palestinian people, they'd be in a much better shape financially than they are now. Israel and the US are not the only ones who pledge money to the PA. Other countries around the world help out as well.

As for homes and school being destroyed, that's because there are tunnels dug up under those schools/homes to smuggle in weapons. Why shouldn't they destroy it?

I never claimed Isreal is innocent or blameless. They've done many things to escalate it. Who started it is rather academic, and a matter of debate, but a debate that is best left to schoolyard antics... The point is, the Palestinians could have ended this numerous times. They continually choose the path of violence. What always stops peace talks? An Isreali raid or terrorist assassination? No, a Palestinian wanders into a group of civilians and blows a bunch up....that's what.

It's like they are mentally retarded or somthing... They keep ramming their head into the brick wall that is Isreal, with the continued belief that eventually it will crack. I've got to give them props for tenaciousness...but deduct points for stupidity....
