...why is this happening more and more?

www.msnbc.msn.com...

I call it the "waiter/fly/soup" trend.
Seems like it has spread to European shores. What will the next trend be?

The frog salads were all supposed to go to France.

The Frog and Peach

That sounds like it was planted there. I want to trust that those fine Burger King employees in the Netherlands wouldn't over-look something such as a frong in a salad. I mean granted the expediter could have had a green color deficiency in his eyes [thats actually what I suffer from], but you can still see if there was a frog in a salad. People plant things like that in their food all the time to get something free. It might be a "new" trend in Europe but the U.S. has this occur on a daily basis.

My first food service job [before I became a food specialist for the USAF] was Taco Bell. About once a week I would get a customer complaining to me about hair, or something in their petty fast food. Well NY had a policy that it was MANDATORY for ALL food handlers to be wearing gloves and either hair-nets or hats to prevent incidents like that from occuring. So I knew they were lying. And a frog in a salad--it's far fetched. Why isn't anyone questioning this stories validity? Just cause MSNBC reported on this doesn't mean that they don't make mistakes too.

This story reminds me of the BS story of people finding chicken parts in Chicken McNuggets...

Would that be batrachophobia (frogs and toads - actually amphibians in general) or ranidaphobia (specifically frogs)?

Fear of toads specifically is bufonophobia, by the way.

They don't really file such lawsuits in Holland. They'd file a complaint at the authorities. tment.

Remember sometime back the gal with the finger at a Wendy's out in California (I think) . She got caught and nailed. This sounds more like line of thing. I rather doubt that a frog could get in there un noticed. Seems rather difficult.
Frog meat doesn't taste bad. Did some time in the Columbian jungles a few years back and that was one of the things we ate. Not to bad. Everything tastes like chicken.

Said the woman to the frog:

Would you like Flies with that?

I once found a worm in a Salad at TGIFridays. Not really a worm, but a small caterpillar.
I showed it to the waiter, my meal was free, and I got another salad. Sometimes it happens with natural products, like a bowl of leaves the we call a salad! Big deal, it's not like it was a live hand grenade or something.

My question is how in the world did the frog get into the salad? How come no one noticed it moving and eating?

If I found it, I would ask to return it and get a free meal from there, I wouldn't even it either, like she did.
