Wow.. I was reading over news sites and found an article on a possible footprint on Mars.

It is probably just from the Rover.. but this story is being covered by msnbc. Maybe there is something to it.

What do you think?

Nothing too it, in the article it states that the foot print looking thing was made by
the rover stoping, going over some rock and turning.

the print does kinda just appear at the bottom, when theres no track behind it

That looks suspiciously like a footprint because there ARE footprints in AZ.

I guess they'll have to be more carefull next time eh!

Right.. that is what got my attention as well. I have to start searching through the images on NASA's website to find this one and see the others taken on the same day.

It goes on to explain how the footprint was made and shows you other pictures that clearly show it was made how they say.

The pattern looks exactly like the tread from the wheels. Here's an example from Sol 784 of the tread pattern: origin.mars5.jpl.nasa.gov...
