501c3 - How The Beast Is Taking Over The Churches

A long read but well worth it. Churches are being tricked into incorperation. When they do this they lose freedom of speech, and sovereignty.

But there is no need for the churches to do this. Tax exempt status is automatic.

Just the fact that the whole 'tax exempt' thing ever became an issue is proof enough that the truth hasn't been resident at the man-made altars for a long time already.

Freedom of speech?

How does that fit beside the concept of 'excommunication?'

Profit is king these days, even in evangelism (and that's profit, not prophet).

Those ideas are incongruent with organized religion - which is superstitious politics wrapped up in pretty wrapping paper - gold foil cleverly stamped with 'Christ' all over to persuade the average consumer to buy into the scheme. Revelation 13:17

Seems like someone's making a lot of money by informing us of the risks facing the church regarding financial sell-out to 'the man'....

They're not being forced to do anything. If they don't want to pay taxes, like any other organization, then they have to meet the requirements for tax exemption.

Well christ, no surprise here, government employees are complete morons. Of course a church has to apply for tax exempt status, at a minimum it has to be demonstrated that its actually a church.

Jesus did indeed say, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s;” but that’s only half the verse! Jesus went on to say, “and to God the things that are God’s.” The obvious question to be asked is at what time did Jesus place His church under the authority and jurisdiction of Caesar (the State)?

This is poor reasoning. Jesus said that people should pay their taxes, period. The Founders of the US decided that Churches should be seperated from the state, and not have to pay taxes. Its because of the Founders, and NOT JESUS that churches don't have to pay taxes. If that 'crazy' Jesus had had his way, the churches would be paying taxes.

Exactly. Matthew 17:24-27 is further support of that idea.

Jesus wasn't crazy. But plenty of religious leaders seem to be quite confused.

As far as I could see, as long as the church kept being a place of religion, there could be no reason for the US govt to remove the tax exemption, whatever the religion itself preaches. the only 'morale' argument I could find is the so called "sordid company" that the church may find itself in, well isnt this a good opportunity to try and do some right? shouldnt the church be mixing with these groups and attepting to 'convert them to JC'?

Then the site goes on to state that churches have to waiver their right to influence politics, and help campaigns... Isnt this covered by the earlier argument that the founding fathers wanted a seperate church and state? there is no prohibitation for individuals withinthe church to help campaigns, but just not under religions name.

These are the main claims:

When a church accepts the 501c3 status, that church:

No it doesnt, the church may still preach whatever it wants within law (ie incitement to murder may still be considered illegal)

Waives its freedom of religion.

Again it does no such thing, The church may do as it wishes within the boundaries of its religion AS LONG AS it doesnt break the law

Waives its right to influence legislators and the legislation they craft.

Yes it does, but according to US tradition of keeping State and Church seperate, this should not be a right anyway. In no way does the law stop individuals from influencing legislators

Waives its constitutionally guaranteed rights.

Again this is rubbish, unless the 'vital issues of the day' happen to be firebombing an abortion clinic or murdering a doctor

Not really, there is no evidence, it is really just conjecture, and not very good one at that. the only reason for this fear would be to spend too much time reading rubbish like this

No, it isn' hypocritical, nor was it when Bush, whose strongest testimony is that Jesus is his "favorite philosopher" (which is a blasphemous statement at face value), said he worships the same "god" as the Muslims and we simply have "different routes of getting to the Almighty," and that "god" told him to attack Iraq based on what he knew were lies. The "god of this world" is Satan, thus the evil looking eye hovering over the 32 (Masonic/human) levels of the pyramid on the dollar.
