Every so often my wife tells me that I'm addicted to Above Top Secret. There have been a few times that she has suggested that I was viewing porn on-line and she has checked my history only to find that, well, that she was wrong. She simply can't understand my fascination with ATS.

I spend about two to three hours a day on ATS and about an equal time reading and researching. Usually, I do all three simultaneously. Of course I do have my breaks from the computer and I don't neglect work or any of my obligations but, instead of watching television, I am on the computer and, of course, I'm on Above Top Secret.

Now a report on CNN's web site will probably lead to my wife's insistence that I deal with my "computer addiction" with a "twelve-step" program or something.

I can just see myself in a room with a bunch of other folks "sharing" our "problems";
"I'm addicted to porn on the internet", "I'm addicted to cyber-sex on the internet" and then, when it's my turn, at least I can hold my head up high and say "I'm addicted to learning, knowledge and denying ignorance".

Do you think that you are addicted to the computer and the internet? More precisely, do you think that you are addicted to Above Top Secret? And, if you are, do you think that we can sue the "three Amigos" -- a class action suit, of course -- for providing "us addicts" with our daily fix of interesting reading, alternative news, political insights and opinions and for simply enjoying ourselves while doing so?

My name is 'benevolent tyrant' and I'm an ATS-aholic

No, I have an addiction alright. But I am addicted to BelowTopSecret!!!

Two to three hours?? I spend 8 or 9, and that's when I am working.

Right now I am unemployed, so I am here at least 12 hours a day...

I should really get a life!

So, yeah I'm heavily addicted.

OK...you caught me.....I must admit that I often am on ATS (and I mean that referring to ATS, BTS and PTS collectively) for much longer than 2 to 3 hours. Now I'm lying about my "habit". It can only mean that I am addicted. At least I'm not in denial, except, of course, when it comes to denying ignorance.

I will wait to use the bathroom until the very last minute, sometimes longer.
I will wake up out of a sound sleep and before I've even brushed my teeth i'm on ATS.
I've stopped drinking but not ATS.
I'm not a great fan of Skinner or Pavlov but I have detected saliva dripping while on ATS.
I am not addicted, however, I'm just compulsive.
