The good guys are vindicated, three more to go!!

Go USA!!

Troops Cleared!

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Investigators have determined U.S. soldiers followed proper procedure and will not face charges for the deaths of at least four Iraqis during a raid near the town of Ishaqi on March 15, Pentagon sources said Friday.

The death toll and the manner of the civilian deaths remains disputed. Iraqi officials say 11 people, including five children, were killed in the U.S.-led raid on a suspected al Qaeda in Iraq site about 60 miles north of Baghdad.

Four women were listed among the dead and one of the children was 6 months old, the Iraqi officials said. (Watch why soldiers were found to be following procedures -- 1:14)

Now when the insurgent terrorist dogs stop hiding among and fighting within civilians these types of incedents will stop completly.

The original BBC video has a very, very familiar storyline.

Perhaps allowing investigations to complete and moving into a trial before casting immediate knee-jerk blame is, after all, the logical/ethical step.

GREAT GOING MARINES!

Kill Civilians - and for Punishment, you will Have to visit TWO extra trainings more in moral and ethical values!

SEMPER FI!

CNN

A Balad police official said at the time of the raid that witnesses claimed U.S. troops had kept an entire family in a room before spraying them with bullets.

The police official further said U.S. troops destroyed the building and killed livestock belonging to people in the house. In the house police found bullet casings of the type used by U.S. soldiers, the official said.

Caldwell said investigators reported that up to "nine collateral deaths" may have occurred but that "a precise number could not be determined due to the collapsed walls and heavy debris."

Great Job!

Marine Manual:

Step 1: Put Civilians in a Room.

Step 2: Spray the Room with Several Bullets.

Step 3: Call the Airstrike to Demolish the entire House to Hide any Evidence.

Step 4: Go to Moral and Ethical Values Training.

Step 5: Let skippy know what happened.

Cleared in a court of law yet the accusations keep coming. I knew this wouldnt change some opinions about the marines in question as it should have. No matter what courts ever find it wont stop some from the libel and slander of these marines.

It isnt slander when typed, I should clarify, but it would still be libel.

Civilian casualties will happen, but the question in these cases is whether it was done with malicious intent. Which the court found it wasnt. And you know exactly what is implied in the above quoted statement by Souljah. That this was done intentionally, the trial was fixed, and the Marines given a get out of jail free card. THats BS. The court found there either wasnt enough evidence to proove they did this intentionally, or that there was no malicious intent at all and they were following procedure. Therefore it would be wrong to even bring these charges against these specific marines up again due to the fact the court dismissed the case, end of story. You can show me other pictured but that doesnt change the facts on this specific case does it?

The question is whether or not they slaughtered inoocents. I hope that they didn't, and am quite happy to see them vindicated in the one incident. Even if they did, the blame only rests partly with the Marines themselves. Other questions must be answered, including time of deployment (how long they've been away from home, and how long the actual mission lasted), and overall psycological health.

If the masacre stories are true, and the Marines messed up, the first thing they need is real, actual help, not just punishment and "ethical seminars". We need a detailed review of troop psycological status on a person-by-person basis, and we need to act accordingly. Ignoring this will only cause further tragedy.

Did you read the link skippy posted at the top of the thread? That should answer the questions. The investigators themselves cleared them from wrongdoing. As for where they came from, probably came from here I would imagine.

Hear, Hear!

This collateral damage rhetoric is making me sick too. They are not collateral damage, they are dead civilians, men, women, children and elderly PEOPLE.

The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA invades Iraq because of WMDS which they had seen in a wet dream,

Oh that’s changed it’s to change a brutal regime that brutally killed thousands,
All the civilians that are killed in the process are just collateral damage,
It’s for the greater good,

If terrorists kill innocent people that’s an act of terrorisms
If US forces kill an entire family and so forth it’s for the greater good of Iraq.

Good to see that the US is the pillar for justice

edit: for the dude i have on ignore below

Here I thought it was because of oil…or regime change…or the oil bourse in moving to Euros… Saddam tried to have Bush I executed... the US needed a strategic advantage in the region…the Iraqis had aliens on the line…the no fly zones were constantly breeched by Iraq…threats to US oil supplies...UN corruption...various acts surmounting to war occurred daily…'Nazi like' power needs...Clinton never paid attention unless he was in trouble...multiple UN violations…indiscriminant attacks against the coalition forces…massing (again) of troops…human rights violations to the nth…corruption in the protocols (reaching to the UN)…BushII is nuts…etal. and etc........

Now a “wet dream”…good call!

It's all clear now.

Yes, i read it but dont believe it Its the same as Bush's crimes, and Cheney's and the rest of them- Just the same as the 9/11 "committee" Ha!!! LOL.
WE investigate OURSELVES. That makes sense. If i do something wrong, they should let my mommy investigate- she will clear me of wrongdoing too.
These investigations are bogus, to say the least.

NOW listen to me. I think these service people had our best interest at heart when they were whisked off to war. I DO think they have cracked under presssure- they KNOW this is a bogus war, they're not getting anywhere, the heat is 120 degrees...you get the picture. bla bla bla...
They went to do a noble cause.....it turned out to be insanity.
Please dont give me the bumpersticker cliches either. "War is Hell"- They're not allowed to TALK about their true feelings either.

While i appreciate them going to war for ME and YOU, their minds are screwed up right about now.

Now Iraqis are demanding their OWN investigation. Good for them.

We need to get to the bottom of this fiasco, because its getting worse. It was my opinion that after years, it was to get better.
