It's shame however that the study didn't take into consideration, different types of foil paper, such as regular foil vs. heavy duty or even non stick and whether or not if aluminum sheeting used in construction could be a better option if one was to constuct their own hats.

there is no protection against mind control, if it exists. would those in charge of these technologies have thought about the security measures a person can take.

I think that this is perhaps a clever bit of propaganda designed to make us toss out our tin foil hats, making us completely vulnerable to the mind-control rays. "Popular Science," -- just like Reader's Digest -- is probably just another tool for the CIA, and it wouldn't surprise me if nobody mentioned in the article really exists.
