I am a big fan of the horror movie genre. I've seen quit a few of them.

Five of my favorites are:
1. Halloween 1
2. The Shinning
3. The Exorcist (the first one)
4. Saw 1 (also liked the second)
5. Dawn Of The Dead (the original one)

What are your favorite scary movies?

I liked the second Halloween, and Night Of The Living Dead.

1 - The Exorcist
2 - In the Mouth of Madness
3 - Poltergeist
4 - The Thing (John Carpenter version)
5 - The Others
6 - Signs
7 - Rosemary's Baby
8 - Jacob's Ladder
9 - The Piano (because there's nothing scarier than seeing Harvey Keitel's junk)

Also, when I was four, my parents took me to see Gremlins in the movie theater. That movie scared the bejeezus out of me. For at least three years I couldn't sleep without the hall light on.

The Gremlins were totally living under my bed.

Hands down it has to go to the Shinning

Jacobs Ladder is pretty scary as well, but The Shinning has it all.

Not really a fan of horror films as they're all the same. However, The Shining would have to be a personal favourite.
