Having a look now.

Thanks guys.

I've done every template and archive with no luck.

Every title now looks like:

< title > < chissler.com > < / title >

minus the spaces of course. No luck.

Also, I've removed all of the H1's from every template, with no luck on any page other than the home page.

Am I missing something?

Should the H2's remain? Does that make a difference?

I'm passed the frustration stage, just determined to figure this out. Unfortunately, it consists of me annoying everyone else to come to a resolution.

Things are slowly coming together.

I've noticed a few times members had requested the staff to turn off the function where we have to approve all comments via our email. Could someone please turn this off for me as well?

Or has it changed where I am capable of doing it myself?

Either way, it is something I would like to disable.

The only down side to having comments automatically approved is receiving spam comments. It's kinda like email spam, usually contains a link to ringtones or viagra, etc. It really can be a thorny issue at times.

Yeah, the spam gets crazy. I actually go in and junk a bunch of them every day.

Chissler, when I open your blog all the H1 links you wanted to remove look gone to me and the browser tab says "CHISSLER Dot Com" so it all looks like it worked the way you wanted it to, unless I missed something.

Yeah Zed, it works for some, but not for others.

For my categories:

Chit Chat: Does not show the H1, but the title has not changed for me.
My Life: Perfect
Sports: All wrong. H1 shows up and the title has never readjusted.
Television: Same as sports.

Archives is perfect.

So yeah, everything else is top notch. Just those three categories. Sports & Television have not done anything for me, and Chit Chat needs an adjustment on the title.

How about you look again (refresh pages) and see if they are better for you since they look good to me now.

On the bottom when you're logged in is a "rebuild site" link. I just rebuilt your whole site for you. I know you made changes to the telpates but if you didn't rebuild the indivudual pages...they would have looked the same.

I think it's all good now.

blog.abovetopsecret.com...

Still no luck so far. Unless it needs another minute or two to fully refresh.

Looks just like the others to me. No H1 tag at the top and tab says CHISSLER Dot Com.

After reading that post, it became clear.

I optimized my explorer which quickly resolved the problem. Everything is fine now.

Hi, First off Merry Christmas everyone!

I was hopeing that someone on here could help me figure out why my blog is messed up. When I first did the changes to my templates, which was months ago, I checked every page on my blog and they were all ok. Now yesterday I went into my archives on my blog and those pages are messed up and I can't find where the problem is. My URL is blog.abovetopsecret.com...

First I was wondering if someone might now how that could have happend since I have not been in there editing my templates since I last looked at my blogs pages. And second, does anyone know how I can fix this?

Any help would be really appreciated!

I just looked at your blog using Internet Explorer 6.0 and it looked just fine to me. What exactly are you referring to when you say your blog is "messed up"?

Thanks for replying DCFusion, I have the newest IE 7.0. I checked my blog on my sons computer which has the 6.0 version of IE and my blog looked fine. I tried changing my font settings but it is still messed up on my computer.

Is there anyone else who has the newest version of IE and wouldn't mind looking at my blog to tell me if it's ok for you?

This is the link to my blog page that is messed up for me.

My son just checked the blog site with Firefox that he has on his computer and the page is messed up using that program. So something is messed up with it. I just can't figure out what it is.

Thanks again for any help.

Hey Stari,

I think it has something to do with how the different browsers render the page. I designed my blog optimized to Internet Explorer 6.0, and it looks great in IE 6.0. However, if I look at my blog in the latest release of Firefox (espcially my PODCast page and Archive page) it looks terrible. And I suspect if yours looks bad in IE 7 then mine probably will too.

Looks like the thin style page and you have a wide header image. You either need to make the page wider or a thinner image for that page.

I think that's the only problem.

Thanks ZeddicusZulZorander, I have gone through some of the templates with no luck, I will keep trying.

Will there ever be a fix for the newer version of IE?

Thanks
Stari

It's not an IE issue that I can see since it looks like that in FF too. I have the same issue on my search reults page for my blog and so I created a smaller header image just for that page.

I'm a little wrapped up so I can't guide you through it at the moment, but if after some trying you don't get it...post here and someone will probably be able to help.

Thanks for the help Zed, after you posted I went through all of my pages and couldn't find where I needed to widen the top of my archive pages so I shrunk my image, but that did not help either.

So after going through all of my pages I found that the option I wanted to change was in my styles-site.css page. Almost all the way to the bottom of this template was an option layout-one-column body. I changed all 3 lines of that and now I have the banner looking good, but the table below it does not line up with the banner table now. If not for Zed I wouldn't have even gotton this far, thanks again Zed!!

I have changed all of the layout column options on my styles template, layout two column and layout three column, but nothing has fixed the bottom table to line up correctly. I have gone over my styles template along with many others a dozen times if not more. I'm stumped.

If anyone knows which option on my styles template I should be looking for then I would appreciate your advise.

Thanks
Stari

Is this still a problem? Looks pretty well lined up to me.
