I just heard that it was construction workers... wish I could post a link to that, but it came via a phone call...

SKY News are blagging that this was nothing more than someone using a pneumatic drill. Haha, what a joke! No other press conference, nothing! Do they expect us to believe it would have taken them 4.5 hours to determine that all that was heard was workmen doing something? Yeah, right. They would have combed that entire building, twice, within an hour and a half, easily. I could be wrong, but I think something has blatantly been covered up here. Whether it be an incident at that building, or a diversion away from something else, I think something other than what they are saying happened here.

EDIT: This is the official explanation offered by SKY News (UK): "The Alert was caused by 'Banging' at a Construction site."

I wonder if they are talking about a powder actuated fastener gun. Used all the time in construction, and sound remakably like gunshots (considering that they actually use .22 caliber blanks
)

That may very well be the case, but do they expect us to believe they wouldn't have gone to any 'construction sites' nearby and checked what equiptment they had been using almost straight away? Either they are complete IDIOTS, or they consider us to be.

Communication,

They think WE are stupid.

Do you honestly think we would get any truth reported

Who lied? They lied. The government lied- so the reporters have to lie, they have to give a briefing and lie too. Its all lies.

How would we know the truth if it bit us on the ankle at this point? We dont.

They may have gone to the construction sites first.

It would have been irresponsible for them to go just there and conclude that that was what it was.

Imagine if all they did was go to the construction areas see that they were using a hilti gun and stop any further investigation. Only to find out that there really was one/several gunmen holed up in a closet or office waiting for the all clear.

I'd say that all depends on what happened, and why.

Probably.

I guess you're right here, in a way. I think it's pretty safe to say that their explanation isn't the truth, though, but then again I don't need to tell you that, do you I?

Did I say anything about them going to the 'construction sites' and then concluding what had happened right there and then? Of course they would have checked everything else out, do you expect me to believe it took them 4 and a half hours? I saw the weird manner in which this thing was handled. If what they say happened, happened, I would be very suprised.

And then again, it could be the gospel truth. That poor African-American little girl gets to report on this and she got to report on the Capitol blackout also. She looks and sounds very beleivable, I like her.

Maybe it is the truth. Then again........

What gets me is all the witness reports of "a man with a gun", either "hiding in the gym" or elsewhere. My first thoughts were that it could be plain clothes officers, but what is puzzling me is this. Would'nt people who work in those buildings and around theat area be pretty used to what a cop or even a plain clothes officer would look or act like?

Let me try and make that make more sense. Would'nt a plain clothes officer, FBI or whatever either identify themselves or act slightly more "cool" than a nutjob on the loose with a gun? Would'nt a cop have identified themselves or even directed the witnesses to safety, given orders to get out or whatever? Maybe here in the UK we are'nt always that used to seeing officers with weapons, but i'd have thought it would have been a natural occurance around the capitol with all the security? Why would a cop or whatever the guy was be "hiding"? Maybe he was crouched or moving about tactically i don't know, i guess that could be misconstrued in the height of confusion?

Just seem strange thats all.

That is just pure BuLL!!!!!!

On FOX earlier, when they were covering the story full time, they interviewed an elevator technician, who was working in the basement, who said he didn't hear anything!!!!!! no sound, no gunshot, nothing, but was told to evacuate So if the elevator technician didn't hear a sound, how could the gunshot be caused by someone working on the elevators??????

we must be fools

Perhaps the elevator technicians were able to identify the sounds they heard. Hence no unusual noises. I'm sure he didn't mean that he was in complete silence, but that he didn't hear anything out of the ordinary.

I was thinking the same. Stories aren't matching up, I agree with the other person that posted in here that it more than likely did not take 4.5 hours to search that building. I could put together a team to do it faster than that! I find this very suspect, especially with as many things going on right now as they are, some of which a great number of politicians would have a keen interest in disrupting.

what happened to the two women in grey sweatsuits that were seen by reporters being escorted out of the building, they had claimed to see a man with a gun? What happened to the 5'11, 175lb white male suspect?? where did they even get that description from??

and i just heard about that same elevator technician again, he said they made him drive a forklift over speedbumps and listened to the sound to see if could be the same.

something isn't adding up. This will be just another news story that we don't get the full story on and it will die away rather quickly.

Also don't forget the news reports that went out here in Sunny England that a gunman had been arrested, niteboy82, and worldwatcher. There are so many things about this that just don’t add up. They are taking the Urine, if you ask me.

And as it dies, the purpose of whatever this was will have been successfully finished, the few will know what exactly happened, and they will never speak. I bet quite a few people (probably not anyone on here) will not even remember this happened by next week if it fades out today or tomorrow.

Could this be a social expirement to see how well people will respond to lock downs and quarantines? Our top law makers were all televised as obeying. Why would we now feel threatened if the same happened to us?
