I have been in awhile. Call me stupid for not reading the fine print a decade earlier...

HERE is the misleading statements straight from the Navy.com website:

Navy.com

"Tuition Assistance: Pays for up to 100 percent of the tuition for courses taken by Sailors on their own time (off-duty) at accredited institutions."

Wow! That's great!! 100%, I looked around some more, nothing more about it.

Here is what an enlisted is ACTUALLY entitled to, straight from the Navy Tuition Assistance website:

Navy Tuition Assistance
The Navy Tuition Assistance program pays 100% of tuition and required fees charged by educational institutions for course enrollments.

Payment
The maximum amount paid for tuition assistance: 100% Tuition and Fees

Not to exceed:

$250 @ Semester Credit Hour, or
$166 @ Quarter Credit Hour, and
12 Semester Hours (18 Quarter Hours)@ Fiscal Year

Gee at 12 units per year it will take 5 to 6 years to complete an AA/AS/AAS degree... I found this out the hard way, I am pissed off.
