Hello all. I admit I've been a long time lurker so maybe it's time to become a member.
I'm a middle aged college student who has just finished my Junior year. My major is History/Political Science, with the minor in Soc. I've also
taken several law classes because I felt it wouldn't hurt to know a bit about that subject. I received my Assoc. in history last year.
For a long time my hobby has been researching genealogy (especially royal bloodlines), which puts one in touch with a large amount of history. I've
enjoyed it and had developed quite a knack for it, so one day I decided that I might as well get some credit if I was going to be doing it anyway.
I'm glad that the degree plan includes political science as I'm a confessed political junkie. I just can't help it, especially with the amount of
devolving that is happening in our country right now.
While I am aware that it is the victor who writes the history, I'm also aware that doesn't always mean that it was the truth, or at least not the
whole truth. I tend to look for what wasn't said.
ATS has a good many topics that I find interesting.
