The end of the world as we know it: Microsoft + Disney

In a splashy fete in Central Park on Thursday, Microsoft Corp. chairman Bill Gates and Walt Disney Co. chairman Michael Eisner announced the release of an upgraded MSN Internet service stocked with Disney's content.

"It's a real coup," Gates said, sharing a stage in the autumn-tinged park with Eisner and a pair of extras in Mickey and Minnie Mouse suits.

Strange...I thought that the Disney coporation wanted to promote "wholesome family values" in their products & services (Remember that some years ago, they fired 2 gay guys from being their wandering entertainers).

With as much shady business practice as Gates performs, I'd think Disney could make a much better choice...

Sigh! Maybe it's time to toss out my Tigger shirts & Disney movie collection...

As an australian, i logged onto the disney website, just to have a look around and see what attractions they had.

Within seconds i was bombarded by SPAM.

Crap about the holiday packags and disney motels.

And what did i learn about what was actually in the theme park, incase i wanted to visit it some day.

(Nothing)

i watched a really terrible disney Donald Duck cartoon the other day. It was called 'The Spirit of 1943' and it was all about paying taxes so america can beat the Nazis.

It was about 2minutes donald duck and 10 minutes about war and taxes helping america to build planes and artillery and warships and guns to help beat the Nazis.

Microsoft wont turn Disney evil - Disney is already evil enough.

And, how was that propaganda cartoon evil? Jiminey Freakin' Crickets, keep things in perspective, will ya?

Anyway, the fact that the two are marrying up means one important thing; the Disney rides are more likely to crash!

Microsoft are having another attack on AOL and this is part of it -Microsoft is pushing the improved "parental control" of msn8 and the tie in with Disney is part of the new "wholesome" package.

Plus I imagine this new MSN version requires windows.
