Prisoners Clash With Guards at Gitmo

Reports are just now coming in of prisoners wielding make-shift weapons clashing with guards at the Gitmo detention center

Update to follow.

Apparently, this involves detainees interfering with the guards' efforts to prevent the suicides of fellow detainees. There were four suicide attempts yesterday, bringing the total to thirty-nine since the facility opened in '02.

Guards were attacked with fans and makeshift weapons as they attempted to intercede in a suicidal self-hanging of a detainee.
