Hi,

At last the south hemesphere is going to have one of the largest single optical telescope.

With 99% of the scope in the north hemesphere this is a very good news.

Coment why only now can we see what is coming from the south sky,

Yes, this is rather good news. As most optical telescopes, as you've stated, are located in the Northern hemisphere, we know very little about the Southern hemisphere's stars and such. It would be interesting to find out a bit more about my own constellations, and not the ones Germans see.

Yes it has his problems, they didnĀ“t had the money to have an equatorial mount restraining the use just to Zenit.
