One Of The REASONS Why Radio First Termer Was Started

Hi everyone... and thanks for the great welcome by many of you, not only here, but through e-mails and u2u's.

One of my military fans sent me this shortcut that gives you an insight into AFVN (Armed Forces Vietnamese Network) which headquartered out of Saigon.

swc2.hccs.cc.tx.us...

Some of their commercials and a few other trivia items can be heard. It's NOT so much that I had a problem with the GUYS and GALS of AFVN..... as I did THEIR CENSORS. Those of you that have HEARD some of the material from the ONLY surviving show from Radio First Termer Saigon.... will NOW understand the GI HUMOR that was involved which was making FUN of what the AFVN guys & gals were having to shovel out to the troops on the front lines.

www.radiofirsttermer.com.vn...

Listen and enjoy the AFVN stuff ..... this is ALL that the troops had to listen to until Radio First Termer came along on January 1, 1971. There is ALSO a shortcut that goes to AFVN's main site... on it there is an AUDIO FILE of AFVN's history and you can listen to what was played by them. There is also some interesting LIVE newscasts they do and you can hear explosions in the background because the VC are trying to SHUT THEM DOWN.

Enjoy.... and thanks for making ATS ........ HOME!

Dave

Adrian Cronauer

Whoops... almost forgot. Also on the AFVN home page you can hear the REAL "Good Morning Vietnam" man himself, Adrian Cronauer.
