Yes. It is inevitable. Now that it's been this long since 9/11 there is no going back. Bush was correct when he said that 9/11 was the day the world changed. Meaning that we're heading for a police state but without the obvious wording. Cheney said it point blank that we're heading for major global conflict that won't end in any of our life times. I can't see the current Republic going to a major war right now. Police state is the only way a major war like that is fought.
