Well, now this would be sweet. Fill it up once a year and wave to the gas stations as you go by everythime. Talk about being cheap on the wallet. Hope this one flies.

A British inventor was showing off the car he believes could be the world's most fuel-efficient vehicle.

Andy Green, 45, from the University of Bath, believes the three-wheel vehicle is capable of doing some 8,000 miles to the gallon.

The car, which is 10ft 2in (3.1 metres) long, two feet (0.6 metres) wide and weighs just four stone 10lb (30kg), was unveiled for the first time at the Somerset university's campus.

It will compete against 250 teams from around the world for the Shell Eco-Marathon championships in France from May 19.
