CA, I think with all your managerial knowledge, you should be in charge of the pool parties this season. Of course, you have to pass that final. If not, well, we'll put you in charge of...of...oh, heck, whatever you want to volunteer for around here.
Isn't MrP the greatest?

Jen, a question, can you still wear white where you live, if it's after Easter and into Spring but it still snows? Like, what do you have that would be Spring colors but still be warm enough to wear?

Uh, MrP, I don't think there's sweet corn in trail mix. Maybe Corn Nuts, but probably shouldn't put them in, someone might break a tooth and sue LN.
Hell, we can't even pay our tabs around here, so how would we come up with even a lawyer. Hey, CA, ever take any law classes?

I'm so sorry to hear that. A dip in the LN hot tub will provide you with waters as curative as Lourdes. If that doesn't work, well, just be careful getting up on and down off your barstool. We ain't got a lawyer yet.

LOL Okay Desert, I'll manage the pool parties!! (As for the final, I'm sure I'll pass... hopefully...) So when should the pool parties begin? Where I am right now, it's a bit chilly for pool parties...a few more weeks and It'll be bathing suit weather..

Corn Nuts sound like they would add some interesting flavor to the new conkotion of Trail Mix!! Anything goes....

LOL I've taken a couple law classes...nothing that would make me even CLOSE to being a lawyer...but give me another few years and I'll represent! (Law school is actually my desired area of Study...but gotta finish a degree in something else first).

*Is wondering where the Hot Tub is....*

It's important to always look on the bright side of life. My friend just found out his wife had worms, but he put a positive spin on it. He figures he enjoys fishing anyway......

That's what we all need. That glass is half full!!

Yes, E_B, half a glass of worms should brighten anyone's day; Fisherman or not.

I'll be back later and tell you about my friend "Wartzee" and his intestinal worms. Funny....
Tears are streaming down my face from laughter, just thinking about it.

I got my cowboy boots on.....Hasta Luego...

Pray for me boys, I'm goin in!!!

E_B_, Whaaaa
you guys, it's like being back in elementary school around here
telling us stories about
worms. Just the thought

CA, the hot tub is between the veranda and the pool. It's covered by a tiki hut.
Oh, you asked about hobbies/interests. I love reading, non-fiction. Boondocking in our rv and atv in the desert with my husband, and our cat sometimes. Years ago it would have been sewing, cooking, baking, backpacking. MrD does the cooking now. Been through every state except Kansas, Missouri, Carolinas, N Dakota, Vermont, Wisconsin and Minnesota. When my older son was five months old, took him on a vacation from Mexicali to Mexico City, via Mazatlan and Guadalajara. Current favorite tv shows: Ax Men, Dirt, UFO Hunters, Ghost Hunters, The Riches, and did see Breaking Bad. Loved Big Love. Oh, did see Puppetry of the Penis live.

posted on Apr, 3 2008 @ 11:05 PM
I was in "Breaking Bad" a bar patron and a guy in a bathroom. Approiate huh. I ve decided that extra/standin work is not high paying enough for a gentelman of my talent and experience, soooo...
Now I am being coached by a Korean actress/casting director, trying to get into SAG and adutioning for speaking roles a couple times a week and I even have an agent. Of course I will let everybody here in LN know if I ever get a speaking part. The Queen of Pain is letting me have this summer to persue my dream of being an actor; bless her heart.

I just played a gig at a coffee house to an empty coffee house except for the counter people, and I am all tuckered out to tell ya'll about "wartzee" Perhaps tomorrow.

Whose your favorite author desert?

Yeah not really a fan of guys...I think Ill go hang out in the hot tub while you guys talk that stuff lol...

Yep...the glass is half full...

Whaaa...I will have to look for you in Braking Bad.....what is that about? Bad drivers? Is it set in Boston?

Keep us posted regarding what else to see you in and let us know when you talk. That would be cool!

Fried worms are good by the way. Batter them up and.....put them in some hot fat! Makes a great appetizer. Salt them things up good!

Braking Bad...E_B, you're so funny!!
Yeah, that would be cool to see you in a program or movie, Whaaa. That is neat that QoP supports your dream...sigh, how romantic...and fun! May your dreams come true
Whaaa, you know,
, when my oldest son was 4 years old, he wanted dance lessons, jazz & tap. Kept it up till he was 7 and decided he didn't want lessons anymore. In kindergarten he hung upside down from a table to act out the life cycle of a butterfly; in high school, he acted out the balcony scene from Romeo & Juliet as if he were a chimpanzee, and he was a great magic mirror in his theatre production class of Snow White. He sang in college choir, and did Civil War re-enactments, but he never wanted to pursue acting any further. I think if his dad and I had pushed it, he could have pursued it, but I was too selfish with our time. The hours put in on a production, let alone classes, driving to LA for auditions, etc., I didn't want to do. I didn't see myself as a stage mother, as a friend did for her son to act in commercials. If he does ever have that dream, like you, Whaaa, I hope he gets a chance to pursue it. I admire your willing to invest time and energy for the art.
Oh, he did get a job as an extra in The Incredible Hulk movie, but when I bought the dvd so I could freeze frame it to see him, it turned out...duh!...he was dressed out all in black from head to toe, complete with helmet, so he was one of several. lol!! He did say what a great bunch of people he worked with, though. And even though one of the guys tripped, they didn't shoot the scene over again, because it looked like it was part of the scene! lol

Where's CA? Oh, yeah, out in the hot tub. I think I'll take my drink over there Whoa, I almost fell off the veranda...must be the wind. Hmmmm, favorite, I enjoyed them all. So much beauty and good people, cultures...ok, maybe Florida...combines history, sand and water, Key West, highway drive through the Keys, loudest bugs I ever heard at night.
You'll love Vegas, even if you don't gamble. LOTS to see and do. Awesome. And, yes, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. You can make something up to tell us! Hey, here's something I will share...MrD and I got married in the Little White Chapel drive through Tunnel of Love! For us, it was hilarious but serious and romantic at the same time. I used to look down on Vegas weddings, but not anymore.
Hmmm...favorite's kind of like my music...I like it all, as long as it's good. I'm going to pass on this one for the moment, until it hits me that maybe one stands out. What about your favorite?

posted on Apr, 6 2008 @ 01:39 PM
I go away for a few days only to come back and find out that E-B's friends wife has worms....Oh My! I don't like worms myself, but my chickens love them. I've spent many a hours out lifting the river rocks in my back yard finding all those cool chicks their most favorite protien snack.

I went out for a haircut with my girlfriend yesterday, and then we had a shopping day. Oh what fun we had, except for the guy at the coffee shop that got in the middle of our business because we were being catty about the woman who's toes were hangin about 2 inches over her flip flops. We told him to mind his own business, and it didn't hurt anyones feelings as long as they don't hear us...beside it's a known fact that all women do the very same thing we were just doing..So Hmmmm!! And that was the end of that

How is everyone doing today? I think we should have a big screen movie night at LN and all of us can watch Whaaa's wonderful stand in work together...wouldn't that be grand?

Is there anything to eat around here? I'm starved. Maybe I should go see Titan in the store room and find out if that trail mix came in yet.

i'm lord infamous. real name eric. imma good dude until you cross me. i want a girlfriend but not really. i'm gonna get me a job tomorrow. me and my cousins have been plotting on this lil chump who crossed me last year. sometime next week we're gonna take care of him. me and this guy have had problems for almost 8 yrs now...when we get him, i'm gonna make sure i do a complete number on his ass.

i'm buzzing like a mutha
off of 3 24's of bud light. 24's meaning 24 oz for all you slow folks. about a good 4 months till i turn 21. that's crazy. i'll be 21 man. twenty f'n 1.

this site is cool. i like a coupla of you folks on these boards.

i don't like the whole "elite poster" vibe around this place worth a damn though. however it's all good. damn i am buzzing, and hard to. just call me buzz lightyear...ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Hey, save the biggest, best worms for us and tell Jeeves about E_B's recipe. Maybe we can have them as snacks for Whaaa's movie night

Uh, LordEric...
...I gotta speak a little advice to ya...If you're walking down the sidewalk and see a pile of dog crap, do you step in it? No! You walk around it. Don't step in it, walk around it. If you step in it, you end up stinking and doing a lot of work to get rid of it. Notice I didn't say run away from it, I said walk around it.
If anything, feel sorry for the way people behave. And remember, and never forget it, you're better than that. You have better things to do with your life.
Good, job first, then girlfriend later. But don't screw up either a good job or a good relationship by getting buzzed like a mutha!

I like looong walks but not toooo looong. Like one time when me an me droogies drove up to Durango from Aztec to get all hopped up on 3.2 and Romilar, in a very cool little joint called "Poor Boys". I stepped out side to clear me head and have a little smoke; well, I got sort of dizzy and sat down on the curb. Next thing I knew, there was this old man shakin my sholder, sayin "Son, are you alright" I said, "I guess so, and who might you be old man?"

"Horace, Horace Greely" he said, "I'm Whaaa" I said.
Horace said "Shall we walk west, Whaaa" "Sure" I said.
I walked way past the Conoco Station with Horace Greely; must have been almost 7 mi. On that walk Mr. Greely told me many things but I've forgotten most of what he said except for one thing. He said the odds of making a Flush on the river are 16 to 1. I'll never forget that!!

Eric, Desert knows what she's talking about.

so desert's a woman huh? you know i thought about asking before i typed up my reply what sex she was, but now i know.

Good morning all! I had a looooonnngggg ass sleep. Well, not as long as I would have wanted, because I stayed up to watch a Destination Truth I missed.

Uh, Whaaa, I think Mr. Greely was talking to you about his job with the Department of Sanitation or the Building Permits Department when he told you about flushing on the river.

Eric, glad to hear you like to walk. Good for the body, and soul. One time MrD and I walked four miles along a beach to get the best cinnamon roll in town, only to find when we got there, that the bakery was closed for remodeling. Four miles back. I think one time I also walked almost that far in Quincy, Mass., before I got on the train. MrD used to walk up to 22 miles in a day in the mountains on a weekend.
Oh, yeah, Eric, I'm almost old enough to be your grandmother. Hey, I remember when Michael Jackson was with the Jackson Five. Yes, he is talented.

Well, SirEric, you sound very intelligent. Did you attend a college or tech school after graduating from high school? If so, what? If not, why not?

Tennessee...stayed in a most beautiful campground there years ago. Went to the Knoxville World's Fair in 1982. First time I heard the thunder from cars on a racetrack was in Tenn.

Ok, everyone
have a great day

Dang, almost forgot...Mojave desert, Eric. I'll tell you more later.

Hey Desert, yup I'm still in the hot-tub! Wow is it ever nice in here! What a good idea, to put in a Hot Tub! I found my new favorite thing! Until the Pool Parties start...that is!!

I really want to go to the Elivs Chapel while we are down there in Vegas!! I'm sure I'll have lots of fun!! I'm the kind of person who would have fun just driving past the Area 51 sign...And since that is all it takes to ammuse me, I guess I'll have to make up some stories for you guys when I come back!

Authors for me, are also like music. It depends on the book, the subject etc... Right now I am reading a book by Sylvia Plath "The Bell Jar", its pretty well written from what I have read so far. I guess I don't have a favorite either...I like everything...I really enjoy:
-Jodi Picoult (she writes on some really great controversial topics..."The Pact" and "My Sisters Kepper" were my favorites.
-Its so Cliche, but I do like John Grisham (for the Courtroom I love those!!) and Stephen King (for the thrills and scary imagination he has)
-Stuart McLean is also a great Fiction writer... he does mostly comedy..
-Sophie Kinsella - her style of Chick-flick is very catchy...

I haven't come accross many authors that I don't like...

Jen, it is SOO true. Women are Catty. We might not want to admit it, but it is sooo true. We all look at eachothers hair, compare frizzies, and hairstyles. We look eachothers shoes...and clothes... its bad...but its the way we are...

PS. The trail mix is/was being developed by everyone...LOL... we all just sort of pitched into the bowl, random things to eat we found in our purses/cars etc. I tossed in some almonds, i think MrPenny put in some oreo's and peanuts? Oh and M&M's.. (But if you do find some pre-made Trail Mix, don't be scared to sneak some my way, in case this joint-invention doesn't turn out too well..)

Oh and LordEric....Desert is right, Girlfriend later.
EB did the Worm issue get sorted out? LOL...

I am totally in for a movie night!!

I'm singing in the rain
Just singing in the rain
What a glorious feelin'
I'm happy again
I'm laughing at clouds
So dark up above
The sun's in my heart
And I'm ready for love
Let the stormy clouds chase
Everyone from the place
Come on with the rain
I've a smile on my face
I walk down the lane
With a happy refrain
Just singin',
Singin' in the rain
