I used to live there back until I graduated in 1970 from Bellingham High School and joined the Army. There are still a lot of good resteraunts down
along the pier, and a lot of good clam digging up in Birch Bay. Just keep an eye on Mt Baker cause I think someday it's gonna pop real good. Rains
alot there but then you are ight on the coast. Also, you can go to Canada through either Blaine or Sumas customs area. There are also quite a few
museums in the area and a good college up there. Intalco Alluminum still pretty much runs it all around there, but the fishing boats are still coming
in. All in all a good place. I go there every year to see family.
