Neo-Nazism in Israel

It would appear that some Russian immigrants to the Isreali state are in fact Neo-Nazi "skinheads". There has been a rise in attacks on ultra-orthodox Jews and attacks on synagogues.

Books on Holocaust revisionism are available in the Jewish state (which is illegal).

A Russian language neo-nazi website has even been launched in Israel:

The site is well organized. It has text and pictures showing the activists of the organization, "The White Israeli Union," some of them in Israel Defense Forces uniforms on the background of army camps and saluting with a raised arm. The expanded text is divided into sub-sections. There is one on "Who we are," where the managers of the site introduce themselves as "Ilya from Haifa and Andrei from Arad," and it is related there that the members of the organization are "people who have pride in themselves and are sick of living among the dirty bastards." There is a section on "Who our enemies are," where all the "enemies" are extensively documented: the Jews, the Arabs, the immigrants from all Moslem republics of the former Soviet Union, the Moroccans, the foreign workers - in short, the "black-asses." In the material about the Arabs there is even a practical suggestion to enlist in the IDF in a combat unit, in order to get weapons and begin to shoot at them in every possible circumstance.

The website, published in Russian by a group calling itself the White Israeli Union is believed to be the work of immigrants from the former Soviet Union who claimed to be Jews when they entered Israel but who are blamed for the sharp rise in anti-semitism and advocacy of white supremacy. That has to be one of the craziest things I've ever heard....being a nazi skinhead in Isreal.

Anyways, let the skinheads, Nazi's, whatever, do their own thing in Isael...it's their life..not mine

Israel Police have uncovered a group of at least 20 neo-Nazis who immigrated to Israel from the former Soviet Union under the Law of Return.

Police are not yet certain how to proceed, due to the lack of legal basis for prosecuting Israelis espousing anti-Semitic ideology.

The neo-Nazi group was discovered following the arrest on drug charges of a 20-year-old IDF soldier. A swastika tattooed on his arm aroused police suspicions, and neo-Nazi material was later discovered in his home.

These people have even infiltrated the Israeli Defence Force.

Opinions vary as to the scope of the problem. Most estimates indicate that the number of hard-core Russian anti-Semites in Israel is in the hundreds at most.

The Anti-Defamation-League appear to be unwilling to assist, stating that their concern is quashing anti-semitism around the world but not in Israel.
