Okay, I had a rather weird experience today that i havent told anyone about yet, but i grabbed a short haul flight into an international airport and
began to drive into the nearest city in a friends car.
I was thinkiing about ATS and thought...i;ve seen TACMARS here before so i decided to look for them on just about every sign i came across (yes i was
that bored) but as we were driving along a motorway i noticed there were none..at all...not a single one...however, large orange signs with black dots
in the centre and an arrow pointing upwards to the dot had appeared along the length of it (the road ran from the airport to the city). I thought this
was rather weird as i've never seen signs like that before anywhere ...and then we got nearer to the city...There were alot of roadside signs stacked
up on top of each other next to barricades, these were crude signs that read CLASS ONE EMERGENCY TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT in large yellow letters, it was
obviously done in a hurry as it was yellow paint obviously sprayed onto a stencil. There had to be a good couple hundred of them stacked up.
I'll leave the city nameless right now, but its not in North America.
Was just wondering what everyone thought about it and could it possibly be a warning for a terror attack.

Its not even a massive city, its probably on the B-List of terrorist hit area's and i guess thats what could make it a good target.

yellow? That is too soon for yellow. Red first, orange second and then yellow.
Yellow will be in the millions.

Hmm Glasgow eh? I'm about 40 mins away. I take it the road you're talking about is the M8? I'm pretty sure I've seen those orange signs before
though I can't remember what they're for. Maybe Cidergood_headachebad will know, I don't drive much.
The “CLASS ONE EMERGENCY TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT" is a bit strange though. All I could find on 'emergency transport management' was some pdf's from
Hong Kong and Japan talking about adopting British and European models of it. They were all in the context of disaster relief after natural disasters
or terrorism, which is a little worrying as Scotland doesn't really get natural disasters...
I take it they looked like they were waiting to be put up not taken down (dirt or cement on the posts)? Can you give a more precise location of the
signs, like beside a certain junction or distillery or something, I'll try and take a look in the next couple of days if I get the chance.

Nope. That's what he set out to look for, but didn't find any. I don't think we have the same type of markings over here.

I noticed the orange signs as i jumped onto the m8 at glasgow international...the signs were up at the big turning point as you come to the kingston
bridge...(you know the bit where the tailbacks always seem to start) probably closer to partick than anywhere else.
Not too sure, its not really my neck of the woods.
