But the fact that Jesus in Islam is regarded so highly that he will one day return, shows just how close Islam and Christianity really are, and that interpretation is perhaps the only difference.

Well yeah, both religions stem from the son of Abraham. Also, the Zoroastrian influence in both religions stands out very bold.
