www.slate.com...

Sorry, i had absolutely no clue where to put this.

It is interesting, and i dont recall ever seeing it posted here:

The Unknown
As we know,
There are known knowns.
There are things we know we know.
We also know
There are known unknowns.
That is to say
We know there are some things
We do not know.
But there are also unknown unknowns,
The ones we don't know
We don't know.

—Feb. 12, 2002, Department of Defense news briefing

I'm sorry, but i think this is very bizarre....Dont you???

This is not a dumb man. He is highly educated. What do you think of these poems? Strange, very strange.

They're just breaking his press conferences into stanza form.

I don't think he ever intended to release a book of poetry, but if the buzz is up, he might just do that...

HAHA! Even though it's just broken down lines from a press briefing or something, it's still funny!

DG, you always manage to find the most amazing things, seriously. Never would I have come across something like that and I think it's mighty clever to have broken down like that.

Strange though, because he is a highly intelligent man, but it seems like I've read before that he doesn't really care for public speaking.

I needed this!

Poetry Schmoetry.

I think if we all put our heads together, we could read many conspiracies between the lines here.

These are dark poems

I think he's trying to tell us many things....what do you think?

That's exactly what they did...put down what he said into a poem form. I'll find you a link to a slew of Rummy(isms)...he's quite the spin master.

OK, here's a great place to read some of Rummy's best quotes

Here's a few to get you started...enjoy! LOL

"I would not say that the future is necessarily less predictable than the past. I think the past was not predictable when it started."

"We do know of certain knowledge that he [Osama Bin Laden] is either in Afghanistan, or in some other country, or dead."

"We know where they are. They're in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat." –on Iraq's weapons of mass destruction

"Death has a tendency to encourage a depressing view of war."

In George Orwell's 1984, this is what they called "NEWSPEAK"

So thats what this is- newspeak. The language is changed, all a new world order plot.

I just hit the nail on the head

Now, if you'll excuse me, i'll move on to the next fabulous conspiracy!!!

Yep, Newspeak. LOL I hadn't thought of that. Today they just call it SPIN, and Rummy is a hoot to listen to because he spins until the wheels come off some days.

Maidenwolf,

You heard it here first. Newspeak has taken the place of the ancient art of speaking and making sense anymore.

Wargood is.

Dick and Rummy
Went To Iraq
To fetch a bunch of
WMD.

Dick Lied all over town
And broke George's crown
And Rummy came tumbling
after.
