Ark Two issued a new newsletter this week. This part got my attention. Anyone have any input?
------------------------------------------------------------------------

First - some strange prophecies.
I am hearing from numerous sources
that Islam has long had a prophecy
that (in our terms Armageddon) will occur
when there are two eclipses during Ramadan.

In all the history of Islam -
such an astrological
(I intentionally use the phrase
astrological instead of astronomical)
phenomena has never occurred.
And yet -
it will occur
during the next 30 days of Ramadan
which is just beginning.

Another one:
The Popular Polish Pope
has been looking
positively pensive and pooped
of late although he just recently
celebrated 25 years of poping.
Long before he became pope -
there was a saying that -
the last pope would be Polish.

Don't know what that meant
but all the previous popes
of the Catholic Church
has been Italian -
so that is curious.

Nah, sounds like bull to me, there are plenty of sites out there that generally sound the apocalyptic alarm bell every couple of weeks.

Q
Is it a authenticate hadith that Imam mahdi will come during the month of ramadan and also there will 2 eclipse?

A
A Narration does appear in some books of hadith that a dual eclipse shall occur during the Ramadaan of the year in which Imam Mahdi is scheduled to make his appearance. For the benefit of readers, I reproduce the text and commentary of this particular narration:

It's funny that this post should come up today because I was having a conversation with my mother about this whole pope issue just this evening.

When I got home, I began to look for information on a monk she told me about who predicted almost every single pope and said that the last pope would be Peter from Rome (not Poland). The monks name was St. Malachy and his predictions were originally in Latin.

So upon my search I found this site ... users.aol.com.... It looks like this stuff was written in the early 80's and it's interesting to read through some of the prophecies and see how far off they were, while others seem to be more accurate or at least plausible.

Could the solar storms have something to do with what I posted above?

science.msfc.nasa.gov...

If Christ were to come to earth, this would be the best time wouldn't it?

Just before the world suffers major earth changes.

St. Malachy does indeed prophesise that the next pope will be the last, but this could mean many things.

1. End of Roman Catholicism with a Pope as head,
2. Complete end of RC,
3. End of world,
4. Jesus/God whomever will return and there will be no need for Christian religions any more,
5. All religions will be banned under a NWO,
6. He was wrong,
7. The last pope will turn out to be immortal.

Just some thoughts.

St Malachy's predictions showed up in 1590, "discovered" by someone who was delighted at their "astonishing accuracy."

And true enough, they were ABSOLUTELY accurate for every pope before 1590 (though they did miss one pope, actually.) They were fairly detailed, too.

But for the popes after that date, you got vague interpretations that sounded like something out of a high school yearbook (you know "best smile" "bananna boy!" and so forth.) For the pope previous to this one, it was "Flower of flowers" ... which conveniently predicts exactly nothing.

Depending on whether you skipped the missing pope or not, John Paul is either the last pope or the next to the last pope. However, the Catholic church appears to be surviving, and the Black Death isn't sweeping the land (killing, as you may recall from your history books, 90% of the people.)

There will be a pope after this, and one after him, and one after THAT one, and another one, and still another one and probably even more of them.

I'm betting on #6, here, particularly given the circumstances of the manuscript.

ok....involving ramadan in this was bad enough....but now a meteor??

it's a little far-fetched ppl, although u must keep in mind that it might-just-happen(then again...it has to happen someday right?)

It's 12:30 eastern time and no earthquake. So the prediction was wrong... like so many others.

Edit: this is in response to E-wave's ATS link; which speaks of a massive earthquake that is supposed to happen 10:30 eastern time this morning.... which did not happen.

So?
Tomorrow is manslaughter day, the next attempted murder day?
What happens on the 22nd? We all get immunity from AIDS?

Jeez. I've heard of clutching at straws before.....
