Irans Foreign Minister announced that Iran will continue to cooperate with IAEA if its nuclear program isn't made into a political issue. They will be continuing their program though, so the UN could still end up eventually imposing sanctions. Irans foreign minister said its important that Iran and IAEA work things out of this "Technical Issue"
BAKU, May 4 (RIA Novosti, Gerai Dadashev) - Iran will continue to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency if its controversial nuclear program is not made into a political issue, the country's foreign minister said Thursday.

The UN Security Council is currently considering a resolution drafted by the United States, Britain and France that could see economic sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic.
Mottaki, taking part in a session of the Economic Cooperation Organization, a regional body, in the Azerbaijani capital, said the discussion of the Iranian problem in the Security Council was a political decision.

He said the Security Council discussed security issues, but that civilian nuclear research in Iran "is a technical issue, which is why it should be discussed in the IAEA and the UN's technical department."
"In this case, Iran will continue cooperating with the IAEA," he said.

Well I guess its good that they are still attempting to work things out. Im on the fence personally about whether they should stop their program. They already stopped it once for a decent length of time and that entire time no real conclusions were made. Either way its good news for them to say they will be working with the IAEA again.
