I was messing around in the kitchen a few weeks ago. I'd made some chili lime tequila marinade for chicken and had some extra in a container in the fridge.

The original marinade was just:
1(4 oz)can green chilies, or fresh jalapenos
1 green onion,minced
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1/4 cup tequila
1 tbsp minced fresh cilantro
olive oil

Smells sooo good

I wanted to use the rest of it and decided to cook it up, add a few more things and thicken it for a sauce.

I added some finely diced tomatos (4 or so), some hot red chilis, half a medium red onion, diced, 2 cloves of garlic, little bit of salt. I let it simmer until it was thickened enough, and cooked some fusili while waiting. When done I added about a tablespoon of butter to the pasta and poured on the sauce and tossed.

Damn it was good.

It sounds good, but is it really spicy?

It is, but I love it spicy. You can adjust the heat with the amount of chilis you put in it, though
