Man, what's goin' on with this program. After serious and continuing threaths the UK and Australia will cancel their commitment, and the Norwegians almost out already, Hollands biggest opposition party , the PVDA labour party, also wants to get rid of it.

Being Dutch myself, I can assure you the PVDA will deffinately by a big winner next year, and will most likely become the biggest party. When they become part of the cabinet, they will cancel all procurement agreements.

The source of the article is in Dutch only: NU.nl

This sucks because we've sold most F-16's already to Chile and Jordan, it will be hard to get other fighter aircraft by 2012...

Zion, do you think they would go for the Gripen then?

Cheaper option, and to be honest, probably do everything that you guys would need?

Or will they just not bother at all?

Well, this party, the PVDA, doesn't have a strong leader (I personally think he's a dork), and doesn't stick to their original standpoints a lot. It won't surprize me when they buy the JSF anyway, next year.

There is however a good chance they can form a new government with other left wing parties, like the green 'GroenLinks', and the socialist 'SP' parties. If that happens, we can kiss the JSF goodbye forever.
Basically buying the Gripen would then be the only option left, as the Eurofighter as even more expensive than the JSF. Also, the Swedish have manufactured too many Gripens and want to get rid of them, they've already offered them to Norway.

Swedes are reducing their airforce down to 100 Fighters...
So there should be 70 used (mostly first production run) Gripens for sale really soon... and most likely they will be cheap since only option to a sale is wrecking them...
