www.cnn.com...

(CNN) -- In a video that surfaced Friday on the Internet, Osama bin Laden's top lieutenant praises insurgents in Iraq and urges Pakistanis to topple their president, whom he calls a "bribe-taking, treacherous criminal."

Ayman al-Zawahiri, al Qaeda's No. 2 leader, began the 15-minute speech, titled "A Message to the People of Pakistan," with a reference to last month's three-year anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq.

He says al Qaeda operatives in Iraq have perpetrated "800 martyrdom operations in three years, besides the sacrifices of the other mujahedeen, and this is what has broken the back of America in Iraq."

How long will Mussharaf be president of Pakistan, as soon as he gets eliminated there'll be another North Korea.

India won't let it happen.
All hell would break loose if a fundamentalist govt. comes to power in Pakistan.
India, and maybe even the US would be forced to carry out pre-emptive strikes against Pakistan's offensive (esp nuclear) capabilities.
It would the last nail in the coffin for Pakistan who already has one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel..

Why do they have one foot on a banana peel?? There is a constant string of bomb attacks in Pakistan. The security forces clearly have no control over the situation so a coup is possible against Musharraf which would have to be crushed pretty quickly by the Indians to prevent any nuclear weapon use or selling to terrorists.

Its a saying.. One foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel..
If you try to get out of the grave you slip on the peel and fall back in anyways..
Its like being between hell and a very 'hot' place..

Summary: Very precarious situation..

A pre-emptive strike on their nukes may be out of the question. Considering they have a second strike capability, thanks to France selling them submarines!

I personally think that a coup in Pakistan is even more dangerous than Iran. You get the same fundamentalist kook's in control of a nation that is already nuked up.

Musharraf has already had several assassination attempts against him.
