hover tanks when?

i remember a few years back about 1997 or 8 i was watching the discovery channel and they were talking about the comanche helicopter being the last helicopter to ever be made and then the guy said that they were looking at doing hover tanks next. did anyone see this? i havent really heard anything else since but he seemed like he really meant. if someone has the video it would be great

The Hind helicopter is pretty much a flying tank without a US equivalent. Not that such an equivalent would come in really handy.

Helicopter gunships are basically hover tanks. However just not that heavily armoured like modern tanks.
