Has anyone seen this movie?

It's about the Soviet Union launching 300 nuclear weapons on the United States. I believe it's from, 1983? I bought it because it was only $5; going to watch it soon. Anyone else seen it and have opinions on it? I hope it's not a terrible Hollywood attempt at an armageddon type movie.

I saw that movie when it was originally run on TV.

It was disturbing for my 12 year old self. It heightened my conviction that I would die before I turned 20, due to crazy old men with bombs. Luckily, that didn't happen.

I recall it being very powerful and well-done, for a tv movie. I have often considered renting it because I have never forgotten the impact that movie made on me.

I saw it years ago, and thought it was pretty good without too much sentimental clutter.
