I understand the search options with tags, and the general linking, but can anyone tell me why some posts have no option to add tags? Especially when they appear to be fairly new postings?

Do you have any examples? The only time i see threads where I can not add a tag is when I've already added one.

Is the tag fuction just not showing up on the page?

Sorry, Brain freeze here...
I'm guessing I tagged them and didn't remember.
Well thanks for the tip and sorry I wasted everyones time.
My mind goes blank at times.

No question is a dumb question. Better to ask and know rather than to sit there wondering. Even those who have spent a few years on the boards tend to ask a few questions from time to time. With the board changing as quick as it has, there is always something new to learn.

Now that I've been answered, do I somehow delete the thread? Or just leave it out there?

If a mod thinks the thread should be closed, one of them will take care of it. Sometimes they are left open as another member may come along and learn something from it.

Only Mods-Super Mods-Admin have the ability to close threads. You have the ability to edit your own posts for a period of time, but the actual thread and reply will always remain.

This thread will no doubt serve some use to another member at some point.

WHEW!!! Thanks
I was afraid I would have to do something else technical.
Funny, I'm a Computer Forensic Specialist and feel like a baby on here.
I guess each site is different.
