Zarqawi Releases Video, page 1

Breaking news about Iraqs Al Qaeda leader, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, took place today. This is the first time we have seen an Al Qaeda Leader from Iraq release an actual video. This especially makes big news since not only does he bash the new government of Iraq as a way to get out of the iraq predicament, but also because another article recently shows the Zarqawi legend was 'fabricated' by the Pentagon.

DUBAI (Reuters) - Iraq's al Qaeda leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi denounced the new Iraqi government, saying it was set up to help Washington find a way out of its predicament in Iraq, according to a rare Internet video posted on Tuesday.

"America has realised today that its tanks, armies and Shi'ite agents will not be able to end the battle with the mujahideen.

"So it devised a plan to ... resort to its agents among those so-called Sunnis who will tighten the noose around the necks of Sunnis and save the Americans," Zarqawi said on the video dated April 21.
A statement from the al-Qaeda affiliated Mujahideen Council, accompanying the tape said it was the first "video of the leader of al Qaeda in Iraq".

I find this extremely surprising. To have news that the pentagon 'fabricated' the legend of Zarqawi, then have the first legnth video of him released? This is EXTREMELY fishy to me. Im not sure if its his response for being downplayed or if hes just under the thumb of our government and they need something to boost his Image back up. Either way its quite a surprising move.
