A Reminder - What is Ignorance and Everything is Not a Conspiracy...

i hope you do not mind if i take some out of my spring break in order to say something that, i think, needs to be said again...

i will call this thread:

A Reminder - What is Ignorance and Everything is Not a Conspiracy

now, let's get down to business with the first part of my reminder: What is Ignorance?...

the merriam-webster online dictionary defines "ignorance" as:



"ignorant," being defined by the merriam-webster online dictionary, is:



my point is that someone may be ignorant if they are not aware of, what i call, "simple knowledge"...

now, what is this "simple knowledge"...

we can see what "simple knowledge" is by seeing what it is not...

"simple knowledge" is not:

- knowledge that the US government was responsible for the 9-11 attacks...

- knowledge that the A5N1 strain of avian flu is man-made...

- knowledge that extra-terrestrials exist and are visiting our planet...

- knowledge that Jesus Christ and Christianity was invented in order to control people...

- etc...

"simple knowledge" can vary from person to person, though...

for example, a graduate from from michigan tech / harvard with a physics PHD may think the various theories and laws of physics are "simple knowledge," while the rest of us think that it is very difficult...

so, what should we, as ATSers, do???

i believe we should create a, shall i dare to say, "standard" in our minds of the "simple knowledge"...

this "simple knowledge" may now be things we learned in grades 1-12 (from the beginnings of our education up to high school)...

but, some people did not attend high school or school at all...

what should we do now???

just keep in mind the the things that "simple knowledge" is not...

or just remember that "simple knowledge" is knowledge is universally simple...

yes, that is a better way of saying it...

now the second part of my reminder: Everything is Not a Conspiracy...

even though this is abovetopsecret.com, a "conspiracy community," we should not spread the belief that everything is a conspiracy...

i am very happy to see that this is not the case on ATS...

but, there may be few, or even a large number, of ATSers who believe that certain things are a conspiracy for whatever reason...

first of all, this is okay as it is their personal belief...

but, let us, as ATSers, shed light on their belief with reliable information with the intention of introducing new material to them and not with the intention of changing their personal belief...

for example, an ATSer believes that extra-terrestrials are abducting people with UFOs...

let us try to bring reliable information to this ATSer that shows that extra-terrestrials are not abducting people with UFOs...

or, use reliable information to show this ATSer that extra-terrestrials are abducting people, if that is your personal belief too...

attempt to have a very friendly "debate," per se, with that ATSer...

the choice of which side to be on is really yours...

yes, this may be hard, to go against the ATSer's personal belief, but it is the reason this community the best on the internet...

we can put these two reminders together by not saying things, such as:

- "you are ignorant because you think that Jesus Christ performed miracles"...

we should never say things like this with that arrogance...

individual ATSers do not know what the circumstances are that surround other ATSers, such as their life styles / their personal beliefs...

Alas your wise words fall on deaf ears as those who never read this will be ignorant and need someone else to show them the thread or write it all out again. So the cycle continues again!

Amen, brother! It had to be said, and it goes to each and every one of us. I'm 100% with you (and sometimes just as guilty. ). We really need to remember the basics and stick to them.

Oh, and the person who tagged the thread as "wanna-be mod" should really grow up and take a look at the point behind content tagging! If I recall correctly there is a heavy price to be paid for tags like that.

Nothing annoys me more then people who make compleatly stupid conections and then call it a conspiricy.

That's just what they want you to think.

What if the conspiracy is engrained within the fundamentals of everything?

Everything may not be a conspiracy, but the conspiracy may affect everything.

Ultimatley i agree with the logic and premise behind this thread.

Ultimatlely, i do not limit possibilities. Truth does.

Ultimatlely my opinion does not alter the truth, however my opinion does alter the way i experience and interpret things that are true.

Again, i don't totally dissagree with you.

Surely, someone sees all. If so, they are all seeing.
If not, then no one is seeing all of it.
