The phrase "If it Aint broke, dont fix it" comes to mind...


Some heavily advertised products actually do you more harm than good. A recent study shows that sunscreens are totally worthless, but using them makes people complacent, so they spend more time in the sun, which can lead to skin cancer. And taking too many antacids can lead to dangerous food allergies.

This kind of reminds me of a list I found once, perhaps 15-20 years ago...It was the Federal Guidelines of how much "foreign material" was actually allowed to slip into processed foods;
The list gave limits on rat hairs, bug parts and/or eggs, industrial grunge, etc.



...Needless to say, I couldn't finish reading the list without risk of converting to the conviction that I'd never eat again...

The only defense against the ravages of the sun is to limit direct exposure as much as possible.
