Republicans are stealing the elections.....at least it appears that something is happening with the way votes are being counted....or am I imagining?

Hell, just look at the last Presidential election....Bush really never won....

I think in a month or so, you'll be hearing the same thing about the Cali election.

So whats the answer? We know that the old punch card ballots have been manipulated for years. How do you think we got hanging chads? Two or more ballots placed under the stylus meant to one punch one. My state has had computer voting for a few years now and we reported to the polls quickly and efficiently and had no scandals. The people at the polls have no control or never see the actual votes.

I hear all this talk about people being purged from rosters for one reason or another. Look, in any transition of this magnitude, everyone needs to take the initiative at least a month before election day and make sure they're registration is active and they are aware of the correct address where they should go to vote. In Florida, we had people ticked off after being turned away but they were picked up buy a bus and given a pack of smokes or pint of booze to vote and they weren't properly registered and some didn't even have proper I.D. Disinfranchised was just a slick word jesse jackson picked up to replace the word irresponsible when describing these people. I checked my own status 2 months before the election because my address had changed recently and wouldn't you know it, I was still listed to vote at my old precinct so I had them make the appropriate changes..and because I am a registered democrat, I got a call a few days later telling me that it might be a good idea for me to try and vote at both places. *LOL* End justifies the means I guess. I quietly informed them that I obey the law and they hung up the phone. Thats what we have to guard against. The true will of the people needs to come through, not just the will of the loudest people. Not just the people who spend their days looking for a handout and getting mass transit to the polls but the people who wake at 5am to work the farm or the factory who have to drive themselves and take time to get their ducks in a row first. The opposition to eletronic voting is using its very motive as its weapon. My state has gone to it and its fine. The ability to cheat that it removes is whats being fought.

No. Electronic voting systems are machines with

unaudited code
- You don't know what they're doing to tally the votes

unaudited hardware
- the code my be fine, but if you don't lock down the hardware then anything can happen

improper tallying
- Several systems "phoned home" before the voting was closed down. That means they reported results before official time was over

no paper trail
- If you vote with a computer system you don't have a record of your vote. There is no record and hence no accountablity.

Electronic votiing is really really really bad. Esp. when Diebold says that they'll do whatever it takes to elect Bush.

Electronic vote fraud, changing airplane auto-pilot coordinates,etc. are the best way to terrorize the masses. When you control the technology you control the world.
