How will the Administration put a spin on this to justify funding Israel's terrorist state?

Fury as Israeli minister says deadly attacks on troops are not terrorism
By Tim Butcher in Jerusalem
(Filed: 13/04/2006)

Israel's foreign minister, Tzipi Livni, has broken a taboo by declaring that Palestinians who kill Israeli soldiers are not terrorists. Her comments provoked fierce criticism in Israel and a Right-wing member of parliament demanded that she should be sacked.
One of her predecessors as foreign minister said her comments proved that she was too ignorant to hold office. The row began when Israeli radio broadcast an interview in which 48-year-old Mrs Livni said that attacks on Israeli soldiers were "more legitimate" than attacks on Israeli civilians. "Somebody who is fighting against Israeli soldiers is an enemy and we will fight back," she said. "But I believe that this is not under the definition of terrorism if the target is a soldier."

Mrs Livni first made her comments during an interview recorded several weeks ago by the American ABC television network, where they went largely unnoticed. But when they were broadcast in Israel this week they provoked an immediate angry reaction.
Moshe Arens, a former foreign minister, led the criticism. He said: "What she said indicates a certain level of ignorance that is not appropriate for a foreign minister.
All these people, whether they are trying to attack soldiers at a bus stop or civilians in a shopping mall, are members of terrorist organisations that attack where they see fit.

Please share with me the terrorism.

Don't mention Sabra and Chatila. The guy who did it is drolling on himself.

Firing a missle into a car with a Hammas leader...not terrorism.

Firing artillery at missle launchers...not terrorism.

Please enlighten me.

1) Firing a missle into that car WAS NOT terrorism. It was removing a known murdering terrorist. Since the previous and current leadership (calling them a govermnet is a bad joke) approve of terrorism and they declar they are a real country-fine, lets declare war remove all of them. The Hamas terrorists regiume has ok'd another murder of innocent women and children. This is basicly declaring war and they should be made to pay dearly for it!!!!!!

2) Firing artillary to stop the murdurious terrorists from launching rockets at civillians-thats right, they( muslium terrorists) PURPOSLY target civillians, is defence from those terrorists.

The only solution will be to finish their wall and remove all buildings and such for a several mile buffer of flat land-on their side. It will fully expose the murder's and allow them to be removed effectly with minimal chance of civillians being hurt. But we all know those cowards hide behind children, in schools, hoping innocents get hurt.

Giving weapons to the cursed, Godless antichrist jews is terrorism. .since their state is based and built on terrorists attacks. . . ie the Irgun who used terror attaks killing civilians in the King David Hotel blast. . . executing jews, arabs and brits . . . . giving aid to Israel is funding a terrorist state. . . so don't complain about the arabs using terrorism when you funded terrorists like Israel, Saddam, Osama, and the Taliban, etc. . . .

The IZL [Irgun Zevai Lemui] executed Jews suspected of informing, even though some of these persons were totally innocent.

Who is a terrorist?
By Gideon Levy

Nor was there any substantive debate after a possible slip of the tongue by Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, in an interview to the BBC, in which she said that there was a difference between attacking civilians and attacking soldiers. Even though she did not resolutely stand by her own words in an interview with Channel 10, Livni dared to speak the truth: If harming civilians is a measure of terror, then Israel is a terror state. With 18 killed in Gaza alone in 12 days, three of them children, the absence of intent cannot suffice for us. Someone who uses artillery to shell population centers and says with horrific indifference that this is "just a preview," as if it were another reality show on TV, cannot claim that he does not intend to kill children.

Those responsible for such bombings around the world are rightfully considered war criminals. That's terror - just ask Livni. And when it is done in the name of a state, it is much worse than in those cases when the perpetrators are from rogue organizations.

And people disagree with this?

"Somebody who is fighting against Israeli soldiers is an enemy and we will fight back," she said. "But I believe that this is not under the definition of terrorism if the target is a soldier."

This seems perfectly accurate. OF course, either way, the proper response is to kill the people making the attack, regardless if they targeted a solider or civilian.

Godless antichrist jews is terrorism.

Settle the heck down.

Oh you see the cursed Godless antichrist jews are upset since Livni admitted that Israel was a terrorist state that Israel has a history of terrorism. . . remember you can't fund terorrists. . .therefore Israel is not deserving of aid. . . since they are terrorists. . .try to keep up. . .

Ah, well, thats different from the above. The yehudis aren't terrorists.

Israel is a US ally and the US isnt' going to stop giving it aid. The palestinian government is the one targeting women and children here.

[snip]
The raid on Jericho prison is not an isolated incident in the history of Israeli occupation. Every passing day, Israeli forces murder Palestinian civilians, rape Palestinian women at checkpoints and strip Palestinians naked to humiliate them in front of their relatives. A daily fact of life confirmed by Checkpoints Watch, an Israeli organization founded by 400 Jewish women to observe Israeli soldiers’ behavior at checkpoints. Adi Dagan, the organization’s spokeswoman said that “approximately two million Palestinians are subjected to very ugly suffering, and the Israeli public doesn’t know about it.” Obviously, neither does the “international community.”

If the yehudis were using palestinian tactics.....there wouldn't be anymore palestinians. The palestinians have no ability to fight, short of attacking civilians through terror hits, whereas the yehudis, if they wanted to target civilians to force the palestinians to give up, well, the west bank would be well fertilized, to say the least.

In order to kill the greatest number of soldiers, without taking risks oneself, nothing could equal electric mines. Made to look like milestones, they contained fifteen kilogrammes of explosives, which we made ourselves from common chemical manure (ammonium nitrate). To this we added five to eight kilogrammes of bolts as shrapnel. A curfew having been established on all roads from nine o'clock on, we left every evening in groups of three to place our mines at the edge of some orange-grove. A wire, fifty yards long, connected the false milestone to a little detonator. A push on the button was enough to blow up a truck. Leaving aside the fact that they face, and that they had the unpleasant experience of seeing their transport interfered with, the English lost tens of dead, and suffered innumerable wounds, without ever succeeding in capturing one of the girls or boys responsible. Records were set up for losses inflicted with a single mine; I believe it was held by Lea, the wife of Dov, with thirteen killed.

Wow I actually agree with Livni!

She is 100% correct, attacks on soldiers by Palestinian militants is not terrorism. If it were then the US was a state sponsor of terrorism when they funded the Mujahedin in Afghanistan as they attacked Russian soldiers on Afghan territory. No different when the Palestinians attack Israel soldiers.

Well done Mrs. Livni!
