Captain Trips ! (And Swine Flu ...?)

Topic started on 14-4-2006 @ 10:48 PM by mauskov

Has anyone notised how similar this whole h5n1 'bird flu' hysteria is reminiscent of "The Stand" by Stephen King? ...Just throwing that out there.

At any rate.

Apparently the human-bird transmission is wholly unlikely (as has been speculated). However, the threat may be greater in a more round-about way. The particular strain of 'bird flu' we are looking at is easily transmitted to pigs (swine flu). It is this 'swine flu' that is much more transmissable to humans. (I have read speculation that the 1918 strain was possibly passed through this method).

Bird Flu is not Captain Trips. Tamiflu is not made by Gilead Sciences. There is no North Central Positronics.

I'm safe in Dogon 19.
