Be careful what you wish for!

Fresh spring air! I admit the air quality here in Chicago is lousy, but after having the windows closed in my apartment for 6 or 7 months, fresh air is a real treat for the nose!

This is difficult for me to give an opinion about, most smells I like are mainly nostalgic smells, but here are some:

-Fresh baked bread in the evening, I used to live close to a bread bakery which always made their bread for the next morning and you could smell it from very far away.
-Gasoline, Ethanol isn't that good though but I still like it.
-Everything that goes boom with gunpowder, Fireworks and Firearms.

-I love shampoos, esspecially when when the wife comes out of the shower, I love to smell her freshly washed hair.
-New cars
-Fresh MONEY!
-Leather, esspecially jackets.
-Cigars.

My Mimi (grandmother) grew lavender in her garden and dried it.
She sewed up little pouches to put in your clothing drawers and closets.
As a child I would put on a shirt and it always had a hint of that lavender smell.

Now that she has passed, if I smell lavender, I think of her.

I think I'm gonna cry just thinking about this......................
