Old books, matches just as they're struck, spent fireworks, two-stroke motorcycle exahust fumes
, bacon (childhood holiday memories) and forest air on a freezing winters day.

What is your favorite smell, aroma, or fragrance?

I'd have to say a tie between some fresh ground coffee beans and most any sort of fresh baked good (ie- hot out of the oven).

Even if you don't enjoy coffee, the smell of freshly ground beans is just wonderful. And who *doesn't* think back fondly to mom's chocolate chip cookies?
