patrol?
There are parts of the base that are functional, although most of the bunkers and older structures are now sealed off. The electronic gate at the main
entrance is where that keep pad is located, and I suppose it is for the police and maintenance to use. I suppose it would be also used to grant access
to any heavy equpitment or trucks that might go on the property. I have read accounts of people seeing semi's on the grounds of the base, but I have
never seen one personally there so I won't swear to it. But it is possible, especially if they are trying to repair the building that the SAGE sits
atop of.

also are there any consequences of going inside all the boarded up places? like if someone actually decides to go there and go deep inside and see
whats there what consequences would there be?
All of the structures are clearly marked off limits. First of all, most of the buildings are in very poor repair. So entering a house could be very
dangerous if a board is rotten and you step on it. Besides these obvious dangers, there is also the fact that you can be arrested for tresspassing and
perhaps even breaking and entering if you are caught inside. I had read (but again won't swear to it) that the underground parts of the base are
still owned by the federal government. This means if you are caught inside of a bunker, you make be charged with violating a federal law, as opposed
to a state law.
Then there is something else a little more sinister to consider. If there is any covert activity going on underground there, you can bet you will be
apprehended if you tresspass in one of those areas. In my opinion, if there is any sort of subversive action going on there, surveillance techniques
are so advanced today that you will be caught before you can come anywhere near anything that might be sensitive.

did you see any type of security devices to prevent this? besides just standard fencing and all is there any monitoring equipment if someone decideds
to go inside?
I never saw anything except for a few video cameras. And of course the state police officer who drives around the base all day. In case you are
unaware the base is a state park today, so anyone can get in. The places that are off limits are marked very clearly to stay away, and most of those
are sealed with thick slabs of concrete.

I never felt sick while on the base, nor right after leaving there.
