which console do you think is best! why do you think its best! state your claim, back your claim, then we can debate.

clearly xbox 360 is the best has everything a console maniac could ask for! fast cpu top of the line graphics and sweet games.

what do ya all think?

i like the xbox 360 too, considering that the other two next gen consoles aren't even out yet. and speaking of which...
isn't this topic a lil bit too early?

i wanna know what people think of the current consoles but if you wanna vote for ps3 o revolution you can because there is some information released on it such as blu ray discs.

Microsoft is the only company that realizes this is the 21st century and there console is perfect...Sony went with unproven technologies, and everything that costs a small fortune, they thought is was the 22nd century.....and then theres Nintendo...they still think its the 20th century, there "Revolution" is as powerful as the original Xbox.

I think the 360 will win this round.

Nintendo wont die out, basically because they say there console will be able to play ALL old games, that means the original NES, Super NES, N-64, & Gamecube, and then of course the newer Revo games...that HUGE library its rumored $200 price tag, should make this console sell very well.

Sony was the clear Victor the last time with there PS2, but this time I think they were to ambitious. Games simply aren’t that massive that they need 25 gigs, while dvd's (dual layered) can hold 8.5 gigs, which is plenty even for HD games. People dont own Blu-Ray movies...because they dont yet exist, it will take a few years for Blu-Ray to at least build a decent library...So no thanks, I'm not interested in Blu-Ray (or HD-DVD for that matter). They also went with the cell processor, which is much more expensive versus a normal CPU.

I've thought about this a lot...and my pick for the console war is the Xbox 360. I dont own one yet...I'm waiting until they make it in black (the whole console...I'm not a big fan of faceplates, those were cool on cell phones a couple years ago...there time is done).

Why are people convinced that the Revolution is less powerful than the original Xbox? The xbox was an intel 733MHz, where as the Revolution is a PowerPC running at 729MHz source. Are you being taken in by the MHz Myth? I personally think that in the next generation of consoles the Revolution will triumph, simply because of the controller. Look at the underpowered DS compared to the PSP. It is outselling the PSP 3 to 1 source.

I have yet to see anything on the Xbox 360 that uses anything like its potential. I bet most games are only using one core at the moment. Could potentially offer some great games. But my money is on the Nintendo still.

your post demonstrates something that i've never understood with other psp owners. if the psp is so great why would you need to hack games?

i own both, but i enjoy my ds a lil bit more because of the games. the screen sizes aren't an issue with me, and i just got a ds lite (i gave the ol' ds phatty to my lil bro), so the uglyness factor has also been resolved (as far as im concerned). although i do think nintendo could've put a lil more effort into the graphics department. metroid looks cool, but sometimes when playing resident evil, i can't help but wish that the game appeared on the psp, just so it could look pretty

don't get me wrong, i like my psp for what it is, but truth is, i use it mainly for music. i'm not spending a dime on those umd movies when i can get dvd's with more content, so that's a no. the web browser is cool, but inputting text is a real pain. the games are ok, but they become a lil stale after a while, and new psp games that are "must haves" come like tap water in a desert.

i got animal crossing for the ds back in dec. of '05...and i still play that game from time to time. i can't remember the last time i picked up one of my psp games, excluding daxter, which i've already beaten, btw.

...if sony actually concentrated on making games that are on par with the ds fun factor, i'd abandon my ds in a second. not only would i have good things to play, but they'd look beautiful too!
