For those of you who listened in to the show last night, you would have heard Dr Brad Frank from the USA telling us what precautions we should all be
taking should the worse case scenario with Avian Flu actually happen.
His website www.avoidbirdflu.com is full of advice which is well worth reading up on.
Whilst there is no panic at the moment, with very few human deaths and only one bird identified as having the virus in the UK, these things have a
habit of springing up on us very quickly, and its always best to be prepared for the worst.
The reason I chose to bring in Dr Frank, is that he is extremely well qualified in "infectious diseases" and is not "toeing the line" with
government policy!
He talks in the interview not only about the effect on humans, but also about domestic pets, stocking up on food and the reasons why, and the likely
number of deaths over the next few years.
