No, Advisor but did find these interesting tidbits:

"Subject: Shape-Shifting Spacecraft"
Link:
groups.yahoo.com...

Excerpt:
"Subject :
[SO] A shape-shifting spacecraft

Date :
Sat, 11 Aug 2001

Investigator and forensic artist Bill McDonald has stated:

"Nearly all "BIOMORPHIC" aerospace designs were inspired by the Roswell
spacecraft, from Kelly's SR-71 Blackbird onward to today's drones, Caves,
and aerospace craft."

Has NASA now become privy to alien technology?

Alien aerospace craft have been observed changing shape in flight.
They have also been observed to have seamless surfaces.
Seems like a lot of science fiction, right?

Now in the September issue of Popular Mechanics under the
Technology Watch section we have science-fiction reality.

Here, in part, is what the article says:

"Science fiction movies that depict shape-shifting spacecraft
may not be far off the mark. NASA says that it is developing
"smart" materials that would enable future aerospace vehicles
to change shape in midflight."
(Note: I saw one change shape above the Hollywood Bowl in
Hollywood about 3 years ago)

..."NASA researchers hope to develop a seamless surface that
alters its shape in response to an electric current. The idea
has been successfully demonstrated with a rotor on a model
helicopter."
(Witnesses described how the hull of the Roswell craft
could be energized to change its shape)

"Eventually, NASA wants to build fully morphing space planes
that would change their configurations even more radically...
NASA says morphing aircraft could be flying as early as 2030."

Now all NASA needs is a little antigravity and they are ready to join
the galactic league of planets!

Seems tripod "nulled" the picture and the "Technology Watch article/story with picture, so here is the link:

No problem Seekerof...
This happens to be something I am somewhat familiar with...

Check out DARPA's web site:
www.darpa.mil...

Popular Science did a good informative article on the subject:
www.popsci.com...

Aviation Week did a very nice article as well:
www.aviationnow.com...

And finally an article posted about Raytheon (my employer):
www.prnewswire.com.../www/story/04-23-2003/0001931761&EDATE=Apr+23,+2003

Hope this helps,
intelgurl

[p.s.: hope I'm not overposting on this thread]

Thank you intelgurl.....
I will make every effort this weekend to examine and read those interesting links and try to comment....
Much appreciation.
