What is this new Contributer points system?

I noticed this morning that the points system has been replaced with a contributer rating.

What's the dealio?

Could a Board Admin detail this for us?

I can still see your points:

ATS Points: 3386
BTS Points: 1715
PTS Points: 856

I think you're confused by the different member profile display in ATSNN, in which the number shows how many articles you have had upgraded. You start out as a "Contributor", and once you have more than 75 articles, your title changes to "Expert".
