Are You scared?

No, not scared. But mighty PO'd. I think we got set up and we're still being played.

I do think the danger is real - and plan to stock up, be super-hygienic, boil water, all that. It won't be totally avoidable, but level of exposure counts so cutting exposure will give us a chance to develop immunity. I think.

Looks like we're back to where our grandparents and great grandparents were: no miracle drugs, no magic pills. Just luck, grace and hope. A challenge, but doable.

Seems to me our generation/culture is unique in that we expect to be safe, and for things not to change. ...But 'twas an illusion. We are not safe - or preserved in stasis.

Life is about flux - change. That's what makes it interesting.

And change is synonymous with mutation and evolution.

Yeah you bet I'm scared, maybe it's just all this stuff on T.V. The fact that you bleed from your'e mouth and eyes in severe cases and all. But as some have stated you can just try, to stay alive, and if worse comes to worse, die happy. I was also sort of afraid of S.A.R.S when it hit. But barely anyone even got sick from that. I think we all just have to realize how great life is, and try to live it to the fullest. We've pulled through worse before, we made it passed the black death, with primitive technologies. Survived two world wars, tons of other pathogens in the past. I think that the human race is here to stay for another long while. All we can do now is be hygenic, eat plenty of canberries, and be happy, we got to experience life at all.

I'm not scared but I am prepared. I have small children so I made sure I have enough supplies to take care of them for a couple of months.

Not in the least. Even if, and by all appearances its a big if, a pandemic should occur in the US, or elsewhere, I am as prepared to care for myself and a limited number of others, immeadiate family and some of my close freinds, as I can be. Food, water, and other less peaceful means of survival (wink...wink...) are stocked away for a rainy day. What else can I do? Not a whole lot, panic avails us nothing, and if there is a nefarious power behind this...panic is what they want.
