Plague Pits for Bird Flu Victims

I have NO idea how reliable this newspaper is.
Someone from the UK will have to comment on that.
I don't know if I buy this. It seems BIG to me.
But then again, perhaps I just can't wrap my head
around how big the bird flu really will be.

SECRET plans have been drawn up for the mass burial of up to 320,000
bird flu victims, it emerged yesterday.

Authorities may be forced to bury the dead in "plague pits" last used in the
Black Death outbreak of 1665 which killed 70,000 in London.

A leaked report warns mass burials would be necessary if a pandemic killed
in excess of 48,000 and lasted more than 15 weeks.
