A power outage left the entire island paralyzed this afternoon at around just before 2PM. What should have been a brief power outage turned out to be an islandwide blackout that left residents in the dark and traffic snarled at major intersections for nearly seven hours.

Guam is very important to our millitary, I wonder if it was targeted. It was almost exaxtly two weeks since Italy.

edit for spelling....

For the third year in a row, Guam experienced an islandwide power outage on that day, threatening water service, causing sewage to overflow and making life uncomfortable and inconvenient for residents.

Three years in a row! On the same day. This along with the other blackouts seem to be a trend.

Guam was ceded to the US by Spain in 1898. Captured by the Japanese in 1941, it was retaken by the US three years later. The military installation on the island is one of the most strategically important US bases in the Pacific.

Don't you think this island would have reliable power 24/7??
