I'm also in the process of watching the "Conspiracy of Silence" video posted by polanski. In my own viewing of the video, it seems like a
legitimate, rough edit of the show that would have ultimately been shown on Discovery. I also forwarded the link to a friend of mine (who will remain
nameless) who used to work for Discovery Networks out in Colorado (doing editing and color correction), and within the first two minutes of her
viewing the tape, she told me that it was definitely legit. The timecoding seen at the bottom of the tape is identical to the standard timecoding
still used by Discovery. She didn't work for them in 1994, when this tape was supposedly filmed/edited, but the timecodes are the same as Discovery
uses to this day.
The tape is legit, and honestly, research into the tape, though related to this thread, is worthy of its own thread (I don't know if one has already
been made or not... I haven't looked).
Between this case and the tape that polanski posted, there is obviously a larger problem here, and perhaps the Doyle case and the King case outlined
in the tape are related.
Personally, I don't have time to research deeper into the cases and the possible relationships, but if any of you can, MAJOR kudos to you.
Perhaps I'll use my "under the radar" status in the independent film community to create a film exposing all of this. It's a whole lot less
likely to be tracked down by the feds if it's done by an unknown filmmaker. If I did do it, though, it'd, obviously, be something I completely
disassociate myself from, and just do my best to make it public.
