Neutrinos Have Mass

The BBC reported findings that Neutrinos have mass. Link to story: /qxtc9 .
I read somewhere that Heim's Quantum Physics predicts this and this is an important aspect in the working of the 'Hyper Drive' that the American Air Force is studying.
Does anyone have any more knowledge about this?

I thought it had already been known neutrino's had mass

I could have sworn that a program about them on NOVA had a short bit about it. I guess not though since the article is from March 31st

I've read they have mass in the past also, but I think this most recent replication of the study and its findings seals the deal.
